Owner

Kristen McGowan

Kristen McGowan is the owner of the accounting firm McGowan Professional Corporation, Chartered Professional Accountant. She has been in the industry since 2009, attaining her B.Comm at the University of Saskatchewan Edwards School of Business and then completing the Chartered Accountant designation in 2012 followed by the Certified Financial Planner designation in 2019. She is a business owner herself of multiple businesses and is able to put herself in your shoes when offering business advise and solutions that are practical. Kristen is the lead practitioner who oversees the filings and provides the accounting advise and consultations with the assistance and prep work from her team. Her main focus is the big picture and helping clients attain their business goals.

Deanna Van Metre

Deanna Van Metre is the newest addition to McGowan Professional Corporation, Chartered Professional Accountant. She completed her accounting program locally in 2021. She looks forward to daily learning experiences and timed challenges. She has valuable knowledge in different areas of work and feels she can apply it when assisting Kristen. Her main goal is to deliver completed tasks in such a way that all accounting steps flow as smooth as possible.

Renee Toms

Renee Toms is an Accounting Technician at McGowan Professional Corporation, Chartered Professional Accountant. She has been in the industry since 2011 after attaining her Professional Accounting Diploma through Lakeland College. Renee assists with the preparation of bookkeeping, corporate year ends, and personal tax returns with the focus on providing a timely and seamless tax preparation.
